How little we know of the power of God

Standard

Our family just spent the last four days being a part of an amazing missions conference at our home church Shell Lake Full Gospel.  It has been an inspiring, breathtaking, wonderful and amazing week.  We were able to visit with missionaries from all over the world and pray with them.  We heard stories of Gods power moving all across the world.  We worshipped our God and saviour with all our hearts, souls and minds.  We were left speechless.

We heard stories of the dead being raised to life, blind gaining sight, lame being able to walk, prophetic words being shared, limbs growing back where there was no limb…all by the Power of Jesus name.  I walked away wondering and asking God, “Why God, Why don’t we see your power in this way?”  I am here today asking myself, why am I satisfied with only a little of the God that I know. Why have I settled for a drop of His power when we can have it all?  Why do I not feel as though God is limited here and in my life.  God said in His word, greater things than these shall you do! I want to know Him, all of Him.

So I have started a new journey this week, one to find all that I can about my God and my saviour Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.  I want God to push me to the limit, send me places I cannot go on my own, be apart of things that are beyond my reach, to take my places I could never get on my own.  I want to not only taste and see that the Lord is good, I want to feast on Him, His word and His power.  I don’t want to settle anymore.  I want it all.

He said to me this weekend, “In my presence you shall have no want”.  Lord keep me in thy presence I pray.

Here is a great song..my life song..oh God take me to where my feet could never wander

Hope you enjoy and find yourself in a place to want all of God and His power!  Lets not settle for less!

Blessings in abundance…The Lord hand will guide us always

As we walk this journey we have grown in our faith so much I cannot even share as it is so big.  Every day the Lord confirms to us in His faithfulness that HE is mightily at work, making sure His plans are fulfilled.  He continues to remind us that the thing He is asking from us is to be obedient to what He is calling us to do, to walk by faith and not by sight.  When we do this we get to see God move in mighty ways because we are not out providing for ourselves but are waiting on Gods perfect plan for His provisions for us.

Over the past week we have witnessed the power of Jesus Christ over the darkness of this world.  We have seen one of our children come to the Lord as he cried out for Jesus to save him.  We have had someone give us cash as we were leaving a restaurant because the Lord told him too. I had an amazing woman from God call me and ask me to share our story, our story of being obedient when God calls us to serve Him, even though we don’t know the outcome.  Then she also mentions that there is a women’s tea coming up and she would like it to some how support our family.  The local lutheran church held an Octoberfest and gave proceeds to our family for the journey the Lord has asked us to follow Him on.  Sponsor letters come in and prayers are written on cards along with good wishes and wonderful thoughts for our family.  God is showing us the scale of those that will be touched by this journey and it is very humbling.

We want to thank the family here in Birchwood for supporting us.  We had a wonderful time at Octoberfest, singing, eating and laughing.  IT was wonderful to meet some new people  and connect with old friends. It was great to be able to share what God is doing in our lives.

IF there is one thing I would want to share with you today…a point or verse for you to take with you it would be 2 Corinthians 8;12   ‘For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.”.  I would have never believed God could have or would have wanted to use a family that is somedays pretty broken, to serve Him is such a way as this.  The world and our enemy will always want to point out our short comings, our failures and our inadequacies but God tells us His heart in Corinthians that if we are ready to serve Him He will use us according to the gifts he has given us.  We all have gifts, we all have desires that God has put in our hearts for His eternal purposes.  We need to let go of all the lies that hold us back from opening our hands to heaven and saying God, Whatever, wherever, whomever, however, I am here for you to use me.  God will move you from faith to faith as He says in the psalms.  HE is a faithful God that will never take you to where His power can’t each.  It is His story.  Let Him use you regardless of what you think you have to offer, to write His story.

The Lord says in Dueteronomy, “Do not fear for I am with you, Do not be dismayed for I am your God”

The Lord will never give you more than HE can handle.  HE will often times give us way more than we can handle because in our weaknesses we are made strong.

God Bless…join His journey today.
